Please find below some hopefully useful links to interesting resources and tips that I have posted over the past few months.
At the base of this email, there is also quite a long list of recommended illustrators and their contact details should you need some customised images for a book project.
I have been looking into setting up single page websites for author clients who do not wish to go through the rigmarole of designing and maintaining their own sites. The page would have info about the author's titles, any reviews, ordering information and or links to selling platforms (Amazon, Booktopia, etc), an author bio and photo (if wanted) and any other information and links that the author wishes to include. I would charge just enough to cover my time and levy no ongoing fees. If you are interested, please let me know.
If you have tried any new promotional techniques to sell your own books online, to bookstores or any other avenues, I'd be interested to hear the details. I maintain a file of author advice for other authors which I periodically update to keep it relevant in the ever-changing publishing landscape.
If you are looking for the services of an editor, proofreader or other book-related professional, please let me know. I am always happy to pass on the details of highly recommended service providers with a history of professional work at reasonable prices.
Core services for authors remain as follows: cover design; book layout and typesetting, ebook formatting and uploading, print on demand formatting and uploading, print management, updating of existing books and design of ancillary material such as flyers, posters, banners and web graphics.
All the best for 2024!
Kind Regards
Luke Harris
